Conference Proceedings
PSE 2010 presentations will be published in two different ways:
- As non-refereed collection of the conference presentations, being made available about two weeks after the conference to all conference participants via a separate download area of the PSE 2010 homepage.
All PSE presenters are invited to upload their viewgraphs (in case of oral presentations) or posters via the PSE 2010 homepage in .pdf format. Preliminary manuscripts or any related publications will not be accepted. Uploading will be enabled from August 23 to September 20, 2010.
- As conventional conference proceedings with peer-reviewed papers, to be published by Elsevier in spring/summer 2011 as a supplemental special issue of Surface and Coatings Technology (SCT).
All manuscripts for the conference proceedings will be refereed as customary for original papers.
Click here for the SCT Guide for Authors. Please note in addition the printed page limitations for the PSE 2010 proceedings:
Regular conference contributions: 4 journal pages
Keynote lectures: 6 journal pages
Plenary lectures: 10 journal
pages.
For a rough length estimate, the total number of pages of the manuscript (written doubly-spaced, including references and figure captions but excluding tables and figures) should be multiplied by the SCT "average typesetting factor" of 0.427 in order to obtain the expected number of printed pages. This assumes that the number of figures is not excessive (a maximum of about 1 figure per journal page is recommended).
Submissions to the PSE 2010 special issue should take place via the regular submission site of Surface & Coatings Technology: http://ees.elsevier.com/surfcoat/. To submit a paper to the PSE 2010 special issue, please select "Submit Article". After registration please select "Special Issue PSE 2010" when you reach the Select Article Type step in the submission process.
Any manuscript will be accepted only if it reproduces the contents of a contribution to PSE 2010 which has actually been presented.
For one year the proceedings will be published free of charge online via ScienceDirect.
An added printed version of the proceedings can be ordered separately.
Manuscripts have to be submitted exclusively via Internet (see Guide for Authors).
Manuscrict submission open from: August 23, 2010
Manuscript submission deadline: September 15, 2010
